Fox has a string of shows that are aging, and that means there are some big decisions to come for them.
The fate of shows like Gotham and Lethal Weapon will likely hinder on their performances in the spring. In addition to that, Fox has just three new midseason shows to premiere.
Those are 9-1-1, LA to Vegas and The Resident. If one or more of them are breakout hits, the network could clean house with some of the marginally performing series.

1. Empire - Certain Renewal
Empire has been trending downward since Season 2. Season 4 is off 30 percent vs. last season. It is averaging 5.9 million viewers and a 1.9 rating among adults 18-49. The show gets a decent boost of almost 60 percent with 7 days of DVR factored in, but the continued erosion has to be concerning for Fox. It still has a long way left to fall before being in any danger.
2. The Simpsons - Renewed
The Simpsons has benefited from a football lead-in multiple times this season. It is currently averaging 3.6 million viewers and a 1.5 rating among adults 18-49. It has already been renewed!
3. Star - Certain Renewal
Fox gifted Star with a post-Empire slot this season and the show is currently up in the ratings. It is averaging 4.3 million viewers and a 1.4 rating. The show gets a modest boost on the DVR front, but its live ratings will keep it around.
4. The Orville - Renewed
Fox took a risk with this new Seth McFarlane series and it paid off. Season 1 is averaging 4.5 million viewers and a 1.3 rating. The show more than doubles when DVR ratings are factored in. It's such a hit that it has already snagged a renewal!
5. Bob's Burgers - Certain Renewal
Bob's Burgers is up almost 20 percent this season. It is averaging 2.7 million viewers and a 1.2 rating among adults 18-49. With a feature length move in the works, the series will stick around.
6. Family Guy - Certain Renewal
This comedy series is down marginally and is currently averaging 2.7 million viewers and a 1.2 rating. It builds 50 percent with a week of DVR factored in. It's a reliable performer and will be back.
